Sitting pushes us toward the diseases of aging: get a standing desk?

Bloomberg reports that the sitting posture does terrible things to us even if we exercise at other times:
New research in the diverse fields of epidemiology, molecular biology, biology, biomechanics, and physiology is converging toward a startling conclusion: Sitting is a public-health risk. And exercising doesn’t offset it…
How to solve the problem? Maybe get a desk that enables standing or even walking:
“Within two weeks, people basically get addicted to walking and working,” says Levine. “You just need to give them the chance.”
